Israeli Metrological Society (IMS) website was hosted here. The society was closed in 2011. The pages here are kept as a record of the conferences organized by IMS.

Metrology is the science of measurement, at any level of uncertainty in any field of science and technology. The Israeli Metrological Society is a registered non-profit association. The major areas of interest of society members include metrology, measurement, calibration, testing, chemical analysis, test and measurement equipment and calibration test laboratory accreditation.

Main goals and activities of the society

1) To promote and stimulate professional communication among its members and between itself and similar societies.

2) To organize conferences on subjects relevant to society.

3) To advance formulation and use of standards in measurements used in diverse disciplines of science and technology within Israel to facilitate international exchange of information and trade.

Affiliations

The IMS collaborates with International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO), the Israel Society for Quality (ISQ), the Israel Society for Analytical Chemistry (IACS), the Israel Society for Nondestructive Testing (ISRANDT) and the National Physical Laboratory of Israel (INPL) in conference organization.
